Jean-Philippe is the CEO of BidFX, TradingScreen’s subsidiary focusing on providing solutions to the Foreign Exchange market.
Prior to this assignment, Jean-Philippe was Regional Manager EMEA at TradingScreen and CEO of Galaxy, TradingScreen’s Multilateral Trading Facility focusing on the European bond market.
From 2004 to 2011, Jean-Philippe was based in London and New York where he served as Global Head of Products. He worked directly with upper-level management to coordinate business development efforts and implement the first multi-asset class Execution Management System.
Paul is the Chief Technology Officer of BidFX. He has 30 years of experience delivering high performance software, with 20 years in electronic trading systems covering equities, fixed income, futures, options and foreign exchange.
Paul specialises in designing the distributed systems, binary protocols and application frameworks that form the backbone of global trading platforms. In his 16 years consultancy with TradingScreen he led the London development group and was responsible for architecting much of the back-end services, everything from real-time price feeds (Reuters, Bloomberg, IDC and others), exchange connectivity, FIX connectivity, historical tick data, bespoke peer-to-peer messaging and security systems.
Previously, Paul developed trading systems at Credit Suisse and Nomura. He also served nine years in the defence industry building weapon simulations and war games.
Paul taught himself machine code programming at school, produced his first commercial software at the age of sixteen and used the royalties to fund his Computer Science degree at Heriot Watt University, Edinburgh.
John is the Chief Revenue Office at BidFX. Prior to joining BidFX John was the Sales Manager for Institutional Business at 360T and before that head of EMEA Buyside E-Trading Sales at Bloomberg LP – a global business and financial news service. John has spent nearly 20 years at the forefront of e-trading.
In his spare time John coaches and manages grassroots football teams and is an Academy Scout for Crystal Palace FC.
John was educated at the University of Portsmouth.
Roger is the Head of Sales for EMEA at BidFX. Roger was formerly the Head of Hedge Fund Sales (EMEA) at TradingScreen. Prior to joining TradingScreen, Roger spent his career at a series of investment banks starting at Deutsche Bank running the middle office functions of various credit derivative trading desks before moving onto Salomon Brothers where he focused 5 years on the birth and growth of Salomon’s Rates & Credit electronic distribution. He spent a further 6 years at Citibank where he worked for the Global Head of eFX Sales and was responsible for Citi’s European eFX Sales capability across banks, hedge funds & asset managers.
Roger studied at Dulwich College, followed by further education at Queen Mary’s, University of London, majoring in modern languages.
Prior to joining BidFX, Tom was Director FX Sales at EBS. Before that, Tom spent 14 years at FXall where he was responsible for Selling FXall’s Platform to a broad cross section of the FX Market including Corporates, Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, and HFTs. Tom also spent time in FX Sales and Trading at both Lehman Brothers and Commonwealth Bank of Australia.
Tom received his Undergraduate Degree in Economics/Finance from the University of Scranton and his MBA from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Alan has over 25 years’ experience in international financial markets, trading, business systems and associated technology. Alan was originally a trader and broker in London before spending 12 years at Bloomberg, where he helped build their successful FX trading and analytic platform FXGO. Alan is the original inventor on 2 registered patents that relate to their FX trading platform.
In recent years, Alan has led the strategy, sales, design, build and integration of several electronic trading platforms. Alan is currently the AsiaPac Head of OTC at TradingScreen.
