Client Integration Specialist - New York

You may already be a client integration specialist, FIX connectivity developer or client support operative with a genuine interest in financial markets. You will have a natural inherent drive for high quality and excellent client service. You will possess the unique blend of technical skills and business acumen that enables you to solve complex problems effectively across a broad range of client requirements. You will be comfortable interacting with peers in major investment banks and hedge funds to integrate their systems with ours. FX is the largest financial market in the world with $5 trillion traded daily. BidFX is a FinTech start-up with a mission to disrupt the market place by leveraging the latest technology to tap new sources of liquidity, bring transparency and offer order / trade shaping solutions that facilitate best execution for clients. We are a small but growing firm with big aspirations and are doubling our trade volumes year on year.

An essential part of our business involves developing reliable and efficient trading connections between our trading systems and those of our partners. Clients include major investment banks, brokerage firms, dealers, asset managers, fund managers and electronic exchanges. Most interconnections involve exchanging standard FIX protocol messages over secure network links. FX markets operate at high speed and BidFX systems consume billions of FIX messages per day. As we operate hundreds of FIX sessions, we have invested in technology to create new sessions rapidly by configuration. This is therefore not a developer role, although the ability to program could be beneficial.

BidFX are seeking a bright and motivated individual to join our global Client Integration team. In this role you will focus on providing technical solutions for the BidFX electronic trading platform. You will help us to onboard new clients and provide technical support to our US sales initiatives. You will operate out of our New York office to:

  • Interpret, implement and certify FIX protocol specifications

  • Ensure clients have a positive, complete and timely on-boarding experience 

  • Analyze technical requirements and formulate appropriate solutions

  • Integrate new broker algo specifications

  • Assist the development team to test and enhance our product

  • Provide 2nd level technical support and troubleshooting for our clients

  • Escalate software issues to the appropriate development team

  • Assist with pre-sales work for prospective clients.

You will have:

  • A bachelor's degree or similar qualification in engineering or business

  • At least 3 years’ experience working with financial systems

  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills

  • Attentiveness to detail and a curiosity for technology.
