IT Graduate Programme 2019 (Fully subscribed)

Our graduate places are filled for 2019. Watch our for our 2020 graduate programme opening in September 2019.

The BidFX team are seeking final year computer science students to join our 2019 software engineering training programme based in London, with a flexible start date between June and September 2019.

BidFX are a FinTech start-up on a mission to disrupt the foreign exchange market, applying innovative technology to tap FX liquidity. Foreign exchange is the largest financial market in the world with $5 trillion traded every day. We operate a successful trading platform, which connects clients to all major banks, fronted by a cutting-edge trading user interface. We are a small but fast-growing company with global aspirations, who are searching for talented graduates who wish to help us fulfil our vision and share in our success. We value diversity and offer equal opportunities to all.

BidFX handle daily trade volumes in the tens of billions of dollars and our averages are doubling year on year. We want to expand our team to match our performance. In part, we will achieve this by recruiting and training some of the best IT graduates each year.

To join our graduate training programme, you will need to have:

  • Predicted first class or 2:1 degree in Computer Science or related subject.

  • Solid programming experience in:

    • Java for back aspiring end developers

    • JavaScript, CSS for aspiring front-end developers.

  • Excellent spoken and written English.

You will be enthusiastic, organised and adaptable: a quick learner, able to pick up new technology with relative ease. You will have a flair for software design & development, be dedicated to quality and have a passion for programming. You will also have good interpersonal skills and be able to fit easily into a multi-discipline team.

You will be given the opportunity to work in an agile environment, often pair programming, to develop key systems using the latest technology. Expect to work on projects involving a range of different programming languages, that allows you to work with real-time streaming data, cloud technologies and big data exploration. Frontend technologies include React, Redux, RXJS, PostCSS, Webpack.

You already know how to program but we will teach you how to produce production quality financial applications and services that transact billions of dollars per day. We do not require applicants to know the details of the foreign exchange markets, we will provide training, but an interest in finance would be of benefit.

A successful candidate must, by the start of the employment, have permission to work in the UK. EU Citizenship is sufficient whatever type of Brexit we have but we are unable to sponsor Tier 2 work visas.
